Trip Whatley has spent more than two decades helping families, professionals, and retirees in Dothan, Alabama, bring clarity and confidence to their financial lives. A Dothan native with deep roots in the community, Trip began his career with New York Life in 2000 and later joined Holman-Whatley & Associates in 2004. Over the years, Trip has guided clients through market cycles, life transitions, and generational change, earning trust through responsiveness, care, and consistency.
Trip believes financial planning isn’t just about money; that it’s really about family, peace, and purpose. His clients often describe him as their “quarterback,” someone who helps them see the whole field and make coordinated, thoughtful decisions across every aspect of their financial lives.
Today, Trip leads Holman-Whatley & Associates with a focus on relationship-driven, independent wealth management. He takes pride in helping clients simplify complexity and make decisions that support the lives—and legacies—they’re building. Outside the office, Trip is deeply connected to Dothan life and family, raising his children in the same community that’s shaped his values for generations.
